The driver is an older man, stoic but dependable. The watchman, in his 30’s, is a pushover at work but otherwise mischievous. The waiter is a young, swaggering chap, brimming with ambition. Living together, their different attitudes make for an interesting banter.
At some point, misfortune befalls the watchman, and due to a series of chance events, he stumbles into a crime. Striking upon a seemingly low-risk way to make good money, and discovering a new sense of self-confidence, he tries to entice the others to join him in a series of such crimes. Cat and mouse games ensue between the three as personalities change, but events soon spiral out of control, leading them in a direction that none of them had ever wanted to take…

Director: Gurbir Singh Grewal

The film represents the youth, the unemployed and retired senior citizens. The expectations and disillusionment with the system faced by one and all, lead all the groups of the coffee house to join their hands. There is a flair blend of emotions, comedy and hard-hitting questions that would leave the audience thinking for quite some time.

This is actually turning out to be too bad to be true! Week after week, audiences are being subjected to some terrible movies. Now add "Coffee House" to the list.
I have some questions for the filmmakers: Did you really feel that you would be able to find an audience for a movie like this, which not only has a dry subject but a boring narrative? And what is the relevance of a title like "Coffee House"?
Typically, a film takes some time to establish its characters, begin a story and generally ends with some conclusion. In case of "Coffee House", you don't get to see any highs or lows.
It is one flat narrative that stays the same way from start to finish. You see multiple stories running parallel, something which started with "Yuva" and ever since then has been seen in films like "Life In A Metro", "Salaam-e-Ishq", "Hat Trick" and most recently "Firaaq".
In the case of "Coffee House", you get to see the story of Ashutosh Rana who is an idealist and wants to change the socio-economic situation of the country through his newspaper and street plays.
Then, there is a small team led by Vrajesh Hirjee that aims at being desi Robin Hoods by robbing the rich of their wealth. A quartet of senior citizens have their own problems to solve while a couple, which is in a live-in relationship, sees this crumbling right in front of their eyes.
With so many stories running parallel, there had to be some portion of the film that could have been entertaining. However, nothing of that sort happens and you keep wondering where exactly the film is heading.
If this wasn't enough, there is a communal angle that comes in towards the interval, something that diverts the proceedings. Suddenly, Ashutosh Rana gets all charged up, starts delivering fiery speeches, begins a revolution and in no time you find a nationwide protest taking place. Now where did this one come from?

Kissi Se Na Kehna (Hindi: किसी से न कहना, Urdu: کسی سے نا کہنا, translation: "Don't Tell Anyone) is a 1983 film directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. It was a sweet comedy with actors like Farooq Shaikh, Deepti Naval and Utpal Dutt.
Kailashnath is a widower, and father of an only son, Ramesh. He feels that his son has come of age, and must get married. He goes to see a number of young ladies for him, but is disappointed with them, as he feels they are too modern, speak English, and listen to foreign music. He feels that Ramesh will be better off marrying a non-English speaking lady, preferably from a small village. But the predicament of Ramesh is that he is already in love with Ramola, a very well qualified, English speaking Doctor, and he knows fully well that she will not be approved by his dad. So Ramesh, Ramola and Lalaji concoct a plot, making Ramola masquerade as a naive, non-English speaking village belle, with hilarious and unpredictable results.

Tandoori Love-2009

TANDOORI LOVE, directed by Oliver Paulus, is a very unusual blend, as
Bollywood comes to Switzerland. A musical that works more often than not,
it is a romantic comedy that doesn't fit naturally into any genre. It's a
cinematic melting pot that goes down as easily as the colorful Indian food
that TANDOORI LOVE makes appear downright delicious in every single close-up
of its preparation.

Opening with some of the most unappealing shots that I've ever seen of
Swiss-German cuisine, the movie makes you almost sad that the local Swiss
residents have to count on greasy pigs' feet and bloated sausages for their
diet. (Actually, I like Swiss food, save the pigs' feet, but I digress.)
